Synod Talks - Venue Changes

Thursday the 12th of December

Having reflected on the experience of both our Synod Talks at Hope and the Reflective Evenings led by Irenaeus on the Synod Themes, we have made the following venue changes for these events in 2020.

Our Synod Talks on 13 January, 17 February, 9 March, and 20 April will now be held at LACE (Croxteth Drive, Liverpool L17 1AA) [Moved from Liverpool Hope University].

The Reflective Evenings will now be as follows:
  • Tuesday 21 January and Thursday 27 February at St Joseph's, Wrightington [Unchanged]
  • Wednesday 29 January and Wednesday 4 March at Our Lady Help of Christians Portico (L34 2QT) [Moved from St Philomena's]

Synod Talks

Held at LACE, Croxteth Drive, Liverpool L17 1AA. Tea and Coffee served from 7pm. Talk begins at 7:30pm and concludes at 8:45pm. Optional Night prayer follows at 9pm.

Monday 17 February 2020: The Church in an Individualistic Society: Today's Economic Inequality - Where is the Church? by Rt Rev Dr Philip Egan

Monday 9 March 2020: The Church as a Fragmented Mirror by David McLoughlin

Monday 20 April 2020: Participating in Christ's Ministry in the 2020s by Kate Wilkinson and Rev Dr Peter McGrail

Led by Fr Chris Thomas and Sr Moira Meeghan. Evenings begin at 7:30pm and conclude at 9pm
