Recruiting a Synod Administrator

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced administrator to support the Synod Coordinator and Episcopal Vicars for Evangelisation and Formation with the associated work of the Synod from its preparatory stages to its implementation.

SYNOD 2020 Administrator
Fixed Term until December 2020

14 hours per week
Salary £7,098 per annum (equivalent to £9.75 per hour)
5 weeks holiday (pro rata) plus pension scheme available

A new opportunity is available for a highly skilled and experienced administrator to support the Synod Coordinator and Episcopal Vicars for Evangelisation and Formation with the associated work of the Synod from its preparatory stages to its implementation.

You will be required to prepare and issue letters, reports, booklets, maintain databases and take minutes at meetings. You will also liaise with the Synod Coordinator to ensure the booking of venues for events to include guest speakers, equipment and refreshments.

The hours of work are part-time, 14 per week to be worked flexibly over 3 days each week to include evenings and weekends where required. The post holder will be based at the Synod Office which is located at St John Vianney Presbytery, Halewood, Liverpool.

Candidates must have empathy with the ethos and mission of the Roman Catholic Church and a commitment to the work of the Synod.

Applicants must have; experience of working in a similar administrative role within a busy office environment, experience of maintaining and updating databases, excellent communication and time management skills, a commitment to the ethos and mission of the Roman Catholic Church and flexible work attitude towards tasks undertaken.
